Phillip McNeill is Chairman of McNeill Hospitality Corporation since 1984 and McNeill Commercial Real Estate, LLC since 1977, a real estate investment and brokerage company with interests in hotels, health care, retail, office, residential and industrial properties. Mr. McNeill was also a partner in Chartwell Hospitality, a developer and manager of hotels. From 1963 to 1977, he served in various capacities, including President and CEO, with Schumacher Mortgage Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Time, Inc. From the inception in 1994, until the sale in 2007 to Goldman-Sachs, McNeill was Founder, Chairman and CEO of Equity Inns, Inc., a NYSE company.
Phillip McNeill has served as President and Director of the Memphis Mortgage Bankers Association, the Tennessee State Mortgage Bankers Association, and the Board of Trustees of the University of Memphis Foundation, National Commerce Financial (NYSE), Interstate Hotel Corporation (NYSE), Rhodes College and Wetlands America Trust.
