THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING ABLE TO HAVE DREAMS, IDEAS AND GOALS COME TO FRUITION, IS THE CORE OF WHAT WE ARE ABLE TO EXPERIENCE BECAUSE OF THE FREEDOMS THAT ARE OURS IN AMERICA.

SMALL BUSINESS DRIVES THE AMERICAN ECONOMY. IT THRIVES AND SURVIVES NO MATTER WHAT MAY BE GOING ON IN THE MAIN ECONOMY.

KEVITT ADLER

MANAGEMENT COMPUTER CONTROLS, INC.
PRESIDENT
Entrepreneur

Kevitt Adler, President of Management Computer Controls, Inc. (until sold in 2012), is a true entrepreneur. While working his way through the University of Memphis, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Math with a Concentration in Computer Science. By the age of 22, Kevitt had determined that the only way he could build a significant net worth was through entrepreneurship. He began as a night shift computer operator and worked with several companies, moving up in responsibility and writing software until he arrived at Management Computer Controls, Inc. (MC²) in late 1972.

When Kevitt joined MC², it was a small 4-person business providing estimating services to the construction industry. Kevitt was responsible, in 1979, for the turn from providing estimating services – a labor-intensive business with high payroll risk – to marketing their in-house developed software to the construction industry. He personally developed the software that made this happen.

Kevitt became President of the company in 1987 and majority stockholder. Kevitt sold his company to a worldwide software provider – the German company RIB Software AG – exactly 40 years after starting with MC². The company had $7 million dollars in sales and approximately 40 employees when sold.

Kevitt’s community involvement includes Ballet Memphis, Memphis Rotary, Junior Achievement, Scholastic Chess, St. Peter’s Catholic Church and many more.

Thoughts on Entrepreneurship:

“‘Entrepreneurship is the greatest engine ever developed for improvement of the human condition. By every measure of well-being, societies that provide the basic conditions for entrepreneurs to flourish are better off than those that don’t. We are all lucky to live in a country whose founding principles gave us these conditions. It is our duty to posterity to ensure that our descendants get the same opportunities. ”
