THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING ABLE TO HAVE DREAMS, IDEAS AND GOALS COME TO FRUITION, IS THE CORE OF WHAT WE ARE ABLE TO EXPERIENCE BECAUSE OF THE FREEDOMS THAT ARE OURS IN AMERICA.

OWNER
Entrepreneur

Buzzy Hussey has established herself in the Memphis business community as a true entrepreneur, she established Babcock Gifts as one of the most oft-shopped, finest retail outlets for giftware and accessories. Her vision was to serve people in developing their talents and tastes, and showing them how to reflect them in their homes. She has created an atmosphere that many flock to and depend upon for decorative and gift-giving guidance. Ms. Hussey has also ensured that Babcock Gifts act as a support for many local and regional artists and artisans, exposing their work to many who may not otherwise get a chance to see it and put it in their homes.

Buzzy has also demonstrated a strong commitment to philanthropy and civic interests. She gives much of her time to such organizations as the University of Mississippi Foundation Board, the Ole Miss Women’s Council for Philanthropy, the board of the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, Lemoyne College, the Memphis Botanic Gardens, and the Thomas W. Thoughts on Entrepreneurship:

“‘Entrepreneurs dare to be the risk-taking dreamers who drive our economy through their dedication in pursuing their business plans and innovations. Ideally they help fellow citizens create responsible communities. The role of entrepreneurs is key to responsible communities, because their business ventures give other people opportunities to work. Therefore, all who are involved in the entrepreneurs’ successful ventures benefit economically and socially.”
