Ben Ward’s style of entrepreneurship is laced with hard work, ingenuity and determination. He is a leader in the insurance and securities industries and has spent almost 40 years promoting it. In 1979, he and a partner started Delta Life and Annuity, which they grew to be a major contender in the national annuities market. Ben left Delta Life in 1990, and founded The Leaders Council, serving insurance agents by providing them with annuity products and marketing solutions. From 1995-1997, He was the Sr. VP of Marketing for Houston-based Western National Life Insurance that merged into American General and AIG all the while operating his own company too.
Ben Ward’s community and civic involvements have included LeMoyne-Owen College, Southern Health Systems, Dixon Gallery and Gardens, the Memphis Pink Palace Museum, and the University of Memphis.
