Peter S. Willmott has shared his entrepreneurial spirit in many arenas of the business world. He has retired as Chairman and CEO of Willmott Services, a retail holding company and consulting firm that he founded in 1989. Prior to founding Willmott Services, Peter was CEO and President of Zenith Electronics, Chairman and CEO of the department store and retail services entity Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co., and a variety of top-level positions with FedEx. He has served on the board of many companies including FedEx, Morgan Keys, First Tennessee, Maytag, BFI, and International Multifoods.
Peter Willmott is also an expert on racehorses. In 1989, he began breeding and racing them under the name of Willmott Stables. He has served as Chairman of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association and a Steward of the Jockey Club.
